Biography

Amanda Moore has lived in Auckland, New Zealand for 20 years. She uses paint to deeply connect with places and people in the land she calls home.

As a child, drawing was a way to be an independent observer and thereby express her own silent point of view.

Today, painting has become a way to be an interdependent observer, and use paint to explore a patchwork of elements that all arises together.

It’s a practice that helps her embrace the idea that everything belongs, and to feel moved by the experience.

She hopes this process results in paintings that reverberate as powerfully for you as they do for her.
